Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West), has been served with the documents notifying him of the process to recall him from the upper legislative chamber, by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Punch reports.
Senator Melaye was in the senate chamber when the officials arrived; but they dropped the documents at his door and waited.

Melaye had mocked the exercise on Monday, September 25, referring to it as a ‘Made in Taiwan’ exercise.
He stated: “I celebrate the obituary of the ‘Made in Taiwan’ recall exercise, while sympathizing with the induced petitioners, who will obviously face charges of forgery and other criminal charges before a court of law very, very soon.”

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that Senator Dino Melaye (APC-Kogi West) stated his reason for refusing to accept the petition for his recall from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The embattled lawmaker gave his reason in a chat with journalists on Monday, September 25, in Abuja, the nation’s capital.
