The new theatre commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Maj-Gen Rogers Nicholas, has raised alarm that people are still providing information on locations of troops in the northeast region.
He made this known at the handing and taking over ceremony from Maj-Gen Ibrahim Attahiru at the Maimalari Cantonment, Maiduguri on Monday, December 11, Vanguard reports.

NAIJ.com gathered that Nicholas said there was still lot to be done to completely defeat Boko Haram insurgents in the northeast region.
He said: “There are many things coming up on board.
“Basically, military and strategic information will not be released; but as the operations unfold, you will get to see them on ground and front lines of our operations.
“What I want to do is to carry everybody along, including the media, local governments and components of the theatre command to completely defeat Boko Haram.”

NAIJ.com previously reported that the former theatre commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Attahiru, disclosed that the army operations under his watch eliminated five top Boko Haram leaders and 70 other terrorists during various confrontations.
He said that operational support provided to troops of Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) during Operation RAWAN KADA in June 2017 led to the killing of over 70 Boko Haram terrorists and the capture of assorted automatic weapons.
