- Manchester City star Fernandinho has signed a new two year deal at the club

- He has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this season

- The Brazilian midfielder will now be at the Premier League club till 2020

Brazilian football star Fernandinho has signed a new two-year deal at current Premier League leaders Manchester City and he will be at the Etihad Stadium till 2020.

His former contract is expected to come to an end at the end of the ongoing Premier League season, but he has now committed his future to the Citizens.

Clubs like Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid are said to be interested in him at the end of the season.

Fernandinho has enjoyed a new lease of life under Pep Guardiola and has excelled at the base of City's midfield this season and even netted twice.

The 32-year-old joined Manchester City from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 for a fee of £30 million and won the Premier League title in 2014 and also clinched two League Cups.

He has played 212 times in total for Manchester City scoring 19 goals, and he has been superb for the Etihad club in their Premier League campaign this term.
