Juventus reach agreement to sign Liverpool star on free transfer this summer

- Emre Can will be joining Juventus on a free next summer

- The midfielder's contract expires at the end of the season

- Liverpool are however still hoping he signs an extension

Liverpool star Emre Can agreed to sign for Juventus in the summer after the Italians made a breakthrough with the player.

With his contract expiring this summer, Can is free to talk to clubs already and it seems Juventus have taken the lead to sign the versatile midfielder.

Jurgen Klopp has already said he is willing to wait until May for the midfielder to sign an extension.

But Sky Sports suggest Liverpool still hope they can convince the 23-year-old to extend his stay at Anfield.

But talks over a new deal have been ongoing for sometime and it seems the 23-year-old is looking for a fresh challenge.

Can wants to be playign regualr football ahead of this summer's World Cup and he has not been guaranteed that by Klopp this season.

The German has battled, Coutinho, Wijnaldum, James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Adam Lallana and Marko Grujic for a first team place this campaign.

At Juventus he wil battle Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira, Blaide Matuidi, Kwadwo Asamoah, Stefano Sturaro, Claudio Marchisio and Rodrigo Bentacur for a place in Max Allegri's three man midfield.

Can joined Liverpool in 2014 from Bayer Leverkusen for £10million and has made over 150 appearances for the club.

This season he has started five of their six Champions League group games.
