Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with Super Falcons' striker Asisat Oshoala for winning the 2017 CAF Women's African football player of the year award.
On Thursday. January 4 in Ghana, Asisat Oshoala who currently plays for Dalian Quanjian F.C in the Chinese Super League was crowned African's best Female player.
Oshoala who has won the award before two times in 2014 and 2016 beat Gabrielle Onguene of Cameroon and Chrestina Kgatlana South Africa to the award.
President Buhari felicitates with Asisat Oshoala for winning CAF award
President Buhari has however congratulated the 23-year-old striker in a Tweet by the Presidency commending her for making the Nigeria proud.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Nigerian female striker Asisat Oshoala was named the 2017 CAF Women's footballer of the year.
The Super Falcons star beat Gabrielle Onguene of Cameroon and Chrestina Kgatlana South Africa to the award.
Oshoala was also crowned Chinese Women's Super League 'Best Striker of the season' for 2017. The award follows her club's win of the Chinese Women's Super Cup.
