Thirteen days after the death of former board member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Deji Tinubu, the Nigerian football family have been thrown into another mourning.
The Nigeria Football Federation have again lost one of their former top oficial Austin Mgbolu who served as the NFF's spokesperson between 1993 and 2001.
According to the NFF, Mgbolu had a major surgery in January 2018 and appeared to have regained good health before complications early on Wednesday morning, February 7 led to him been rushed to the hospital where he died.

“This is very sad and I pray that God Almighty will protect the family and loved ones he has left behind and give them the fortitude to bear this big loss.
“He was a thorough professional who did his job to the best of his ability and even as an analyst on television, he was forthright and provided wise counsel for the advancement of the Nigeria game. We pray that God will grant him eternal rest,” NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi said.
Austin Mgbolu worked with late Sampson Emeka Omeruah, Abdulmumuni Aminu and Anthony Kojo Williams, and briefly with the board of Dominic Oneya who came into office when Williams was impeached in 2000.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how special adviser to Governor Akinwunmi Ambode on commerce Deji Tinubu slumped and died while playing a football game in Lagos state.
The incident occurred on Thursday evening, January 25, during a novelty match in the Epe area of Lagos state.
NAIJ.com learnt that the aide, who was the former chairman of Lagos state Sports Commission, with Lagos state Executive members and other top government functionaries were in Epe for a retreat when the incident occurred.
