Some members of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in Sokoto state have reportedly cried out alleging that they have been marginalised by the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the affair of the political organisation.
Leadership reports that some of the aggrieved former members of the CPC lamented the way the APC is managed both in the state and national levels.
The spokesperson of the aggrieved former CPC members, Prof Muhammad Lawal Bashir, reportedly said they were treated as second class citizens in APC which they jointly formed, and nurtured to victory.

Bashir accused the Aminu Waziri Tambuwal-led state government of refusing to consider any of their members for political appointments which he said was not part of agreement in the merger.
He said only one slot was given to them out of over 157 elective positions and political appointment while PDP decampees got more than 100.
The report quoted Bashir as stating further that his were never consulted nor admitted in any party matters, saying they have no representation at the national party level.

He said efforts to see Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to discuss the matter proved abortive adding that they resolved to make their complaint public to enable the Ahmed Bola Tinubu reconciliatory body to know that all is not well with sokoto APC.
NAIJ.com earlier reported how Buba Galadima, former national secretary of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), or Tony Momoh, ex-chairman of CPC, were tipped by former members of the party for the post of the secretary of the government of the federation (SGF).
It was gathered that the current Babachir Lawal, was suspended after he was accused of awarding contracts without recourse to due process.
