President Buhari sends powerful message to Team Nigeria who are in South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics

- President Buhari has sent his best wishes to Team Nigeria who are currently in South Korea for the 2018 Winter Olympics

- This is the first time Nigeria will be participating in the Winter Olympics, and the country's number one citizen is proud of the representatives

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has sent his best wishes to the Team Nigeria who will be representing the country at the 2018 edition of the Winter Olympics which started on Friday, February 9 in South Korea.

This is the first time that Nigeria will be participating in the Winter Olympics, and the country's number one citizen is proud of the team that are currently in South Korea.

President Buhari commended the women’s bobsleigh team made up of Seun Adigun, Ngozi Onwumere and Akuoma Omeoga for making history by being the first African bobsleigh team to participate in the Winter Olympics in that category.

He also saluted Nigerian Olympian Simidele Adeagbo who has raised the bar as the first African female to compete in Skeleton at the Games therefore assuring the athletes that Nigeria stands with them throughout the competition.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Nigeria contingent at the 2018 winter Olympics shown the stuff they are made of at the opening ceremony on Friday, February 9, in Pyeongchang South Korea.

This will be the first time that Nigeria will be participating in the winter Olympics as Seun Adigun, Akuoma Omeoga and Ngozi Onwumere compete in Bobsleigh, while Simi Adeagbo will participate in the Skeleton competition.

Seun Adigun is the driver of the Bobsleigh team and also currently a chiropractic student studying for a dual degree of a Doctorate of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College and a Master's of Science in Exercise & Health Science University of Houston Clear Lake.
