- Chelsea travel for important Champions League match against Barcelona

- Barcelona will face the Blues at Nou Camp in a return leg fixture

- The match is tied at 1-1 as both teams could still qualify into the last eight

Chelsea have left their base in Cobham for a trip to Spain ahead of their crucial last 16 Champions League tie with Barcelona.

The Blues almost stole victory at Stamford Bridge but a late comeback by Lionel Messi gave Ernesto Valverde's side the much needed away draw in London.

Willian got the curtain raiser for Antonio Conte's side in the second half after hitting the post twice before half time.

The Catalan giants salvaged a draw through their charismatic talisman to give Barca the much needed advantage going into the return leg at Nou Camp.

The contest is not over yet as the match could go all the way beyond 90 minutes if both sides repeat the 1-1 scoreline three weeks back.

In the domestic scene, Chelsea recorded a 2-1 victory over London rivals Crystal Palace courtesy of Willian and a Martin Kelly own goal put the Blues in the driver's seat.

Patrick van Aanholt pulled one back but it was not enough as Conte's men re-ignited their hopes of making a top four finish.

Baulgrana, on the other hand, had a comfortable win over Malaga as Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho were on target to keep Barca firm on top of La Liga and maintain their unbeaten run.

Messi was missing in the trip to Malaga as his wife got delivered of their third son as the Argentine was allowed to see his new born baby.

Captain Andres Iniesta also returned to training for the important fixture after an injury scare in their 1-0 win over Atletico Madrid and he is expected to be in Valverde's starting line up.

There are no injury worries for Chelsea as the match is expected to be a blockbuster just like the first leg in England.

Real Madrid, Liverpool, Juventus and Manchester City have confirmed their places in the last eight as the draws will be held on Friday, March 16.
