- According to the story shared on social media, a father pretended to be someone else while chatting up his daughter, in order to find out if she has a boyfriend or not

- Luckily for him, he found the answer he was searching for

Having children comes with the need to provide and protect. In the history of parenting, there are those that make it part of their life goals to care for their offsprings, there are the ones who simply pay no attention to their kids and then, there are the unapologetically, overly protective parents who are known for smothering their children with affection in the craziest ways possible.

This is the category most Nigerian fathers fall in, especially to their daughters. From securing the house with guard dogs to even installing trackers on their daughter's devices, there seem to be no stopping them when it comes to protecting their little princesses. This particular Nigerian father however, took things up a notch with his daughter.

In a bid to find out if his she had a boyfriend, he chatted his daughter up on Whatsapp pretending to be some other guy. According to screenshots of the conversation, after trying hard to convince her he was someone else, she revealed she had no boyfriend. A clearly relieved man eventually came clean with his daughter.
