Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has reportedly told his teammate Cristiano Ronaldo about his desire to join Chelsea, Don Balon reports.

According to Don Balon, Chelsea talisman Eden Hazard, who is a long-term Real target, could be included in the swap deal for Bale in the summer.

The Welshman has been heavily linked with a move away from the Bernabeu in recent months as reports have it that Real are frustrated with his recurring injury crisis.

Manchester United have also been tipped to land the former Tottenham star, who has struggled with injuries since his move to La Liga in 2013.

Jose Mourinho even publicly revealed his admiration for Bale, despite claiming a deal was mission impossible for the Wales international in January.

The Spanish transfer media outlet Don Balon, revealed Bale actually fancies a move to Stamford Bridge.

Bale was benched for Real’s Champions League last 16 second leg clash with PSG earlier this week, with the Spanish giants running out winners with a 5-2 aggregate scoreline.

However, Zidane claimed Bale is still in his plans at the Bernabeu after their victory.

He said: "The most important thing is the squad and the players. I respect all the players - Gareth Bale too.

"It's true he started on the bench in the first leg and tonight as well, but it doesn't matter.

"I have to choose players and Gareth is a really important player and will be until the end."

Los Blancos are still on course for a third consecutive Champions League title despite dropping out of the La Liga race as they await their next opponents in the last eight.
