There were reports prior to the start of the Gunners' win over West Ham that Mesut Ozil argued with Unai Emery and was dropped by the former PSG boss.
But according to the report by UK Sun, Unai Emery explained that he dropped Mesut Ozil for their match against West Ham United because of illness.
"Yeah he was ill with nasal and yesterday we decided with the doctor and with him that he would not play.
"Today he is here and with the team also because he feels better today but he is not here now because he was sick yesterday,'' Emery said.
