Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has slammed Serie A club Inter Milan for trying to sign Luka Modric without paying for him.
The Croatian who was crowned UEFA Player of the Year yesterday, became the San Siro outfit's top transfer target following his impressive season for club and country.
But their pursuit of Modric was dogged in controversy after Perez declared that the playmaker was not for sale at any price.

Real sent an official complaint to FIFA alleging Inter tried to 'tap up' the 32-year-old and in return, Inter confirmed legal action against La Liga president Javier Tebas, who criticised their pursuit of Modric.
Perez he expressed dissatisfaction by the behaviour of the Italian club and vented his fury to journalists in Monaco ahead of the Champions League draw.
He said: "They [Inter] tried to sign our No 10 without paying for him.
"It's the first time something like that has ever happened to me in my life."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has made the revelation that it was he who contacted Inter Milan over a potential transfer and not the Italians.
The current European champions have reported the Nerazzurri to FIFA over an illegal approach for their mercurial Croatian midfielder.
