Barcelona linked with World Cup star to replace 1 important player at the Spanish club

- Harry Kane is linked with a move to Barcelona from Tottenham

- The England’s summer World Cup star is expected to step in for Luis Suarez

- The 25-year-old Kane has established himself as one of the world’s best forwards

La Liga defending champions Barcelona have reportedly named summer World Cup star Harry Kane to succeed ex-Liverpool ace Luis Suarez at Camp Nou.

According to Daily Star report citing sources at Don Balon, the Tottenham star, who has showed he is a consistent goal scorer, at the highest level, is the perfect man to step in for the Uruguay forward.

The Three Lions hitman Kane claimed the summer World Cup Golden Boot after netting six times in Russia to emerge the first Premier League ace to scoop the award after compatriot Gary Lineker.

The 25-year-old, who recently extended his stay with a new six-year deal in the summer, has been previously linked with a move away from Tottenham.

However, his new contract at Spurs is worth £10m-a-year and was believed it will keep potential suitors away but reports coming out of the Spanish topflight suggest otherwise.

Initially, Champions League winners Real Madrid were repeatedly in the running for the forward but it seems their fierce rivals Barcelona have moved in to seal a move for the Premier League top striker.

The Nou Camp dwellers are searching at potential forwards to replace Suarez who clocks 32 this campaign.

Already Barcelona have coughed out millions to rebuild their squad since the sudden departure of Neymar last season.

The pair of Ousmane Dembele and Philippe Coutinho moved to the La Liga champions last term for £135.5m and £142m respectively and also brought in more midfield additions this summer.

At the last count they signed Arturo Vidal and Arthur after club legend Andres Iniesta left for Japan after two decades.

Barca also signed Clement Lenglet and Malcom but Tottenham failed to beef up their squad in the summer window.
