Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed that David Beckham was instrumental to his recent move his new Major League side, LA Galaxy.
The former Barcelona and PSG superstar joined the Red Devils as a free agent in the summer of 2016, and scored 28 goals in all competitions for the Premier League outfit.
Having won a Europa League and the EFL Cup titles in his first season, the 36-year-old was signed a year contract extension to remain at the club until the summer of 2018.

However, his contract got terminated last week after suffering a nagging knee injury that prevented him from returning to his very best for the club.
Prior to his move to the MLS, the Swedish striker had played just seven times, scoring once for the Old Trafford outfit.
Ibrahimovic on his arrival at his new club booked a full-page of advert in the LA Times to announce his coming, and will be to win more laurels at his new club.

The Manchester United legend, Beckham, also played for LA Galaxy, and it appears he had a major impact on Ibrahimovic's decision to play for the US side.
"I met David when I played in PSG and he talked a lot about Galaxy, the experience he had in America, he was all positive," Ibrahimovic told Major League Soccer after signing.
"He was like: “You should come over, go over, and try it out, play there” and he said everything is fantastic, it’s in progress, but to be part of it is something amazing and something he was proud of.
"So I’m just happy to get all these words because it makes it easier for you when you have to choose whatever you want to do for the next step.
"And like I said, this thing was supposed to happen before but it didn’t happen, but it’s happening now, so it’s the destiny."
Zlatan has enjoyed a successful career in almost all of the leagues he has played – a total of 30 major titles in his 18-year career so far.
While at PSG, he scored 133 goals in 122 matches in all competitions of the Parisians in the space of four years.
