Former Arsenal player Emmanuel Eboue was reportedly arrested on Saturday, July 7 in London over suspicion of arson.
According to reports by Mirror sport, Eboue was taken to a police station in north London and will remain in custody as he is questioned over allegations of arson and “malicious communication”.

A met police report further stated that authorities were investigating an incident involving a residential area in London where a “35-year old suspect” was taken in over alleged arson.
"Police investigating an alleged arson at a residential address in Enfield on Saturday, 30 June, arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of arson and malicious communications outside the address at around 17:00hrs on Saturday July 7,” the police report read.

Eboue is currently in police custody as investigations go on.
It marked the latest chapter in what is fast becoming one of the most heartbreaking stories of grace to grass in football in modern times.
The embattled former Gunners fullback was offered some reprieve in December 2017 when one of his former clubs Galatasaray offered him a job as coach of their under 14 team after his desolate story hit the world.

However, months down the line and reports indicate that family members are worried of the former player’s mental and emotional state.
Eboue also incidentally featured during a legends match against Real Madrid in June, with many believing he was completely over his past ‘demons’.
According to Mirror, police are also concerned the ex-full-back might be unable to afford a competent lawyer given his torrid financial state.

Eboue told the Sunday Mirror how he lost a divorce battle that left his wife Aurelie with all of their assets and how he has no contact with his daughters Clara, 14, and Maeva, 12 who are currently living with their mother.
