Orji Uzor Kalu, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has praised the governor of Enugu state, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for the continued respect he has for President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders in the country.
Orji said Ugwuanyi has continued to respect these leaders even though the governor is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Premium Times reports that while addressing journalists when he visited Ugwuanyi in Enugu Kalu said he was happy concerning the level of friendship he has with the governor.
“I am in very good terms with the governor of Enugu State, even before he became a governor,” Kalu said while disclosing that President Buhari also takes Governor Ugwuanyi as a family member.
He said: “We cannot quarrel with anybody who is not quarreling with us.
“I look at him (Ugwuanyi) as a family member. So I don’t expect him to be in the same political party with me. He is of PDP and I am of APC but we maintain the friendship. It is across the board.
“On many occasions I pass through here and I also tell the president and Commander-in-Chief that I am going to him.”
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Orji Uzor Kalu reacted to the report that he was plotting to dump the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing the report as false.
In a statement released on Tuesday, July 31, Kalu said the report was being spread by malicious people bent on causing confusion on the APC. He insisted that he would rather quit politics than join the PDP.
NAIJ.com also reported that Orji Uzor-Kalu took a swipe at former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, stating that he only has his personal interest at heart and not the interest of Nigerians.
